Why I built this
I have spent over thirty years at the intersection of technology, product, and business leadership — from CIO roles in India to directing product and technology strategy at Taylor & Francis, one of the world’s largest academic publishers. Across those years, I have sat in boardrooms, led enterprise transformations, and navigated more than a few technology cycles.
But AI is different. Not in a hype-cycle way — in a genuinely structural way. It is reshaping how organisations operate, how decisions get made, and what leadership actually means. And yet most of the guidance available to senior leaders is either superficial (“AI will change everything”) or too narrow (deep technical content written for practitioners, not executives).
That gap is why I built Informd. Senior leaders deserve analysis that is rigorous, independent, and written by people who have actually led through change — not just observed it.
Govind Sharma

Govind has held senior technology and product leadership roles across publishing, financial services, events, and public sector over a career spanning more than three decades. Most recently he served as Director of Product & Technology at Taylor & Francis Group, where he led the organisation’s digital transformation and technology strategy.
Earlier in his career he held CIO roles at JK Tyre & Industries and LNJ Bhilwara Group in India, before moving to the UK where he spent over seven years at UBM plc — one of the world’s largest events businesses — as Director of Technology and Head of Product Technology globally.
He holds an MBA with a focus on IT and Finance from Indira Gandhi National Open University, alongside a postgraduate qualification in Computer Science. He is a certified Generative AI for Business Leaders practitioner.
His areas of focus are AI strategy and adoption, digital transformation, product leadership, and the organisational change that technology demands of senior leaders.
